well things are finally starting to turn around a bit and starting to go better.

looks like the new sitter is going to work out as soon as she can go part-time at her job, so that's good. the girls both loved her and her son and she seems really cool, so we're happy she'll be able to sit them.

we finally transitioned vivian into the "big girl bed" as we call it and it actually went quite smoothly... so well in fact, that she invited rosalyn to join her for a nap today... THAT was unexpected...

and in the "I rarely have anything to talk about aside from my kids" dept, I got my Pod XT today. it was so weird and so nice at the same time to play guitar again. it has been ages. literally. last time I played an electric guitar was before I really knew anything serious about gear... so it was really weird to pick it up and actually be able to make it sound good. and fun to play again!

got some new music today too... I'm so old fashioned, but I love getting CDs in the mail. haven't listened to it all yet but the Vocokesh disc was great on first listen. Pharoah Overlord (love that name) and Burning Star Core queued up for tomorrow. the Earth/KK Null split was out of stock so I didn't get that one

I think I'll order Circle and Wolf Eyes discs next time, been curious about both groups for a while now.

not much else to talk about, but it was nice to have a good day after the last few weeks.
