I never thought I would actually look forward to a visit from my parents.

and in light of other people's situations, I feel bad for bitching about my kids...

but we're here ALL SUMMER with ZERO HELP. it's all us, all the time - we literally NEVER get a break from them.

so that + one case of "terrible twos" + one case of "fucking fours" = actually looking forward to my parents' arrival.

oh well. weirder things have happened.
