well 1 week in the new schedule seems like it'll be good in the long run. getting up at 7:30 every day will take some getting used to, so will going to bed by midnight most nights... but working during the day is better, the new group of people I'm working with and the supervisor all seem much much cooler than the ones I had been stuck with for the past 2.5 yrs. I already feel a lot better just not having done the graveyards for a week.
another thing that will be weird to get used to is being off friday and saturday nights. for the last 2.5 yrs I was working thu-fri-sat graveyards and now I'm working sun-mon-tue days... bit of a change, but a good one.
I think it's weird for the kids too, to be seeing me every morning and sometimes having me get them out of bed instead of jada... but they'll adjust
my father-in-law went home for the summer this week, so we celebrated our first night with the house to ourselves with a little booze/porn/anal bender
jada stopped taking the pill and I can't believe the difference in her moods, both sexually and just in general. I was gonna get snipped, but because she hemoraged (sp?) badly after both kids and because she has such ridiculously heavy periods, her gyno suggested she get that procedure done (I forget the name of it) where they inflate a hot water balloon inside her to burn out the uterine lining... I guess the gyno's own words were "we both know another kid would kill you so this is the best way to go"... I guess the worst case scenario is she ends up with a normal period instead of the crazy ones she gets now; best case scenario the period goes away altogether. anyway, I should shut up. I'm sure she'd be thrilled to learn that I'm spilling all of this on a porn site
I'm thinking of selling all my modular synth gear as well - the Modcan as well as the Fenix. I kept telling myself I just don't have the time for it right now with kids etc etc, but if I'm really honest I've been listening to mostly guitar-bass-drums driven music lately and not a lot of electronic stuff... and at this point I'd rather get a Rickenbacker and a nice bass amp/cab combo, maybe some cheap drums to bang on, a new tattoo or two and use the rest of the proceeds to pay off some debt. now it's just a matter of getting off my ass and actually selling the stuff.
anyway, other than that things are as boring as ever.
