A few months ago I answered a posting on craigslist: a photographer was looking for someone to do some nude modelling. I was all what the hell, right? Well, now my ass is in a gallery! Oh, yeah. We're going to view it on Wednesday. I'm going to go up to strangers and say, "Damn. Is that a great ass, or what?" And hit them if they don't agree immediately. Or at least throw my plastic cup of cheap white wine at them.
Yesterday the VSLF and I went on a guided tour of a Bronx cemetery. Wood... land? hills? I don't remember what it was called. It was a beautiful day, and the tombs were creepy and amazing. We went inside an empty one, and even though it was a relatively warm day, the marble was ice-cold.
I watched the Oscars last night. VSLF thought that Steve Martin was particularly vicious; what did you think? I'm glad Chris Cooper won Best Supporting: he blew me away in Adaptation. And Michael Moore was amusing. Oh, Mickey Mouse, as a presenter, totally sucked. He's CGI now? Bleh.
Umm... I want to keep writing, but I know not what about.
Okay: the evils of television news. I hate it so much. News shows have long since figured out that if they scare you, you'll keep watching. So, for just about everything they show, it's with that purpose. Listen to NPR and read The Guardian, instead.
The best thing about the place where I'm working today (apart from the fact that I do fuck-all) is the place I go for lunch, which is right next door. The biggest, best salad bar ever. Asparagus, avocados, pasta, fruit, grilled vegetables, broccoli rabe, sushi, marinated tofu. And it's all so fresh. I end up piling it on (so it's not cheap), but it's so damn good.
Sorry I'm so boring today.
