Have you ever wanted to buy something at a shop and said to yourself, "I want to get this, but I wouldn't pay more than $10 for it." And then you get to the cash register, and it rings up at, like, $10.07? And then you buy it? What's 7 cents? It's, like, nothing.

This is something that I've been thinking about lately. It's a perfect example (in my silly mind) of the irrationality of people (or at least me). I can't define that point where we wouldn't pay a penny more. But it must exist right? Because if it didn't, I'd be willing to pay any price: if I'm willing to pay $10.07, then I'm willing to pay $10.08, ad infinitum.

So: profound? Or lame? (What is the absolute maximum you'd be willing to pay for me to shut up?)

I forgot to mention that when my woman and I were out getting brunch on Saturday, we saw Oksana Lada. Yeah, Tony Soprano's hot Russian girlfriend. Neat, huh?

Lately, I've been feeling very sluggish and uninterested. I don't like it. Any tips on a cure?

Yes. Tell your woman to go get a strap-on and take it for a test drive, that will make you very interested and much less sluggish. It works, and yes, it is a Canadian thing.

No movie last night, still feeling like a slug, but yes, I do have 3 rep theatres about, all within 10-15 minutes.

In terms of above, is this like a "tipping point" thing, or a refutation of the "tipping point" concept?

I bid you, adieu.

I dont know - I think I'd bid as much as $10.75...

And wow, thats awesome that you saw Oksana. She's beautiful. I wonder if she lives in NY. Something to look forward to when I'm walking around.

Cure for sluggishness? Listening to upbeat music, getting out more often, when inside having good lighting, seeing Oksana Lada. If you're looking for a good time one night.. check out "The Coffee Shop" on 9th Street and Ave A. On Fri, Sat, Sun at midnight there's a drag show - and more often then not, its pretty fuckin funny.
