The Very Special Lady-Friend and I saw a quartet of short plays that were playing nearby. It was $5 per ticket very inexpensive entertainment, really so I didn't have very high expectations. But they were very good: Well, one was not good, and one ended before I could get an impression of it, but the other two were great. The both dealt with romantic relationships in creepy and unusual ways. I must remember the playwright: Kitt Lavoie.
I wouldn't be being honest with you or myself if I didn't mention that the two plays I liked each contained a fair amount of nudity. I don't think this has biased my review, although I do think that the women who got the most nekkid were also the best actors.
After the show, we attended Penny's birthday party. I finally got to meet Kikka and I like to think we bonded over The Office. Leah and I didn't stay too long, cause we're quiet introverts. We were just about to leave when an Irish filmmaker started flirting with Leah. So then she wanted to stay a little longer. At some point I lost my keys.
We walked home around 1AM. A long walk, but we kept our selves entertained by repeating tongue-twisters. Well, I kept my self entertained by making Leah repeat tongue-twisters. I now have a great little video of her walking and repeatedly trying (and failing) to say "You know New York, you need New York, you know you need Unique New York." Hey! I totally want "Unique Yew Nork" on a t-shirt!
Leah was awakened by her beeper around 5 this morning. She went out, delivered a baby, and came back home for bagels & coffee. She's so cool.
