My ideal day would be one where I could simply enjoy existing. Ever read the book "be here now"? This sort of outlook and mindset is so empowering. As difficult as it can be, one must accept that there is only so much in life that you can control. It is so easy to get irritated about things that wind up being a complete waste of energy; becoming upset about having to work or traffic are great examples. Anyways, I am a pretty simple woman- I just want to have a cohesive and smooth life.
A successful day would be one where I do not have to deal with a bunch of unhappy people. I especially know that I can't control others peoples emotions. Working in the service industry can be very tedious and miserable when one has to deal with unhappy people. No matter how much you try to pleas them- it makes no difference. In fact, at times it seems like the more you attempt to improve their experience they more they become enabled to be unhappy. Successful days are not exactly perfect days though.
I would love to wake up everyday at 11 am, drive out to the King Range in Whitethorn and hike out to Shelter Cove (Lost Coast). Every trip I take out to the cove is such a refreshing experience. My small terrier chihuahua mix loves to chase the waves and also to play fetch; seeing her so happy infinitely improves my quality of life. She is my baby after all. Other than that I would have a picnic at the beach, kayak and camp out in my four runner. All of my closest friends would be there, but at this point in my life I really don't mind being alone.
