Yesterday my boyfriend and I spent the evening in Shelter Cove. That place is always perfect, fog or sunshine. I have always preferred the Coast to other regions. I lived in Atlanta from 2010-2012, and have been so grateful to be back home in California for 2013. As you can see, the sand in Shelter Cove is black and colored from the significant tectonic activity of one continental and two oceanic plates meeting just offshore! Without any major highways, communities in the Lost Coast region such as Petrolia, Shelter Cove, and Whitethorn remain secluded from the rest of California.
'A common misconception about this black sand beach is that it is volcanic in origin. Actually, the sand comes from the dark colored sandstone called greywacke and an older compressed shale.'
After a stressful morning, and a bunch of bullshit drama; it's finally time for me to be optimistic and start my day with a positive attitude. LOL, I'm listening to Skeletonwitch and gardening.
Here are some photos we took out at Shelter Cove, and a few of my plants as well. I have a small garden with a tomato plant, that is now starting to fruit
My heart shaped, self trained bamboo. Also, I have sprouted some rainbow radishes and colored carrots (I wanted to grow colorful/interesting crops). The other plant, well that is self explanatory. lol, let's just say I have some great Girl Scout Cookies and am working on some Strawberry Cough.
LEGALIZE IT.
DID YOU KNOW?
MARIJUANA IS LEGAL IN NORTH KOREA: it is grown and smoked openly
One of the very few rights the citizens there do have, Jeez.

I'm not sure I'd wanna be stoned in such a paranoid state. Then again, I guess you can't get any MORE stoned
