Also, I met an amazing German woman who is traveling throughout the West Coast. She had a beautiful collection of precious stones/gems that she had gathered in Mexico, and amazing macrame work!
I couldn't help but buy a few pieces for myself. I think I may use one of the necklaces in my next set. The sun stone with the green macrame setting is my favorite simply because it so versatile! I can wear it as a crown
We sat together working on a piece, and she taught me a few knots. I am familar with macrame; I know only the simple square and spiral knots. Overall, the knotting is the same basic technique with more string weaving involved.
