I know I've been ridiculously MIA lately. I had to write this down, but it can't be where my relatives can see it until I can talk to them and be sure it's nothing to worry about- don't need to be breaking anyone's heart until there's actual need for concern- but I just had the most heartbreaking and vibrant dream and I have to write...

Disappointing days all around. Stiffed on pay for a job when I really needed the money. The girl from the last blog was just caught up in the moment the other night, but recently coming off a long term relationship she's not ready to be seeing anyone right now. The VA is still stiffing me on what they owe me. I start school on thursday...

I miss that.
The government as an organization does not mean what you think they mean when they say they support the troops. Be aware of the fact that as Major General Smedley Butler said, "War is a Racket". War makes money, the troops are used to make war. The troops are valued by this system insofar as their ability to carry out missions that extend the profitability...

The history of my claim with the VA, and why it is such a damaging part of my life:
honorably discharged from active duty in early 2010
filed claim in june 2010 for injured joints, TBI, PTSD
while going to VA almost daily for appointments, spent majority of savings while unable to get a job due to time spent at the VA taking up most...

A buddy of mine from the Navy (now living in KY) took about 3yrs to finish his and get it corrected (they fucked up his calculations and had to back pay) .....it was horrible. Between phone calls, visits, and appointments ... their lack of urgency cost him his job, savings, his family (wife couldn't handle the PTSD) and everything he's worked his whole life for. It's sad .... vets shouldn't be jerked around like this...especially w you are trying to progress forward and build a life. **HUGS** I hope this gets resolved soon......and you can continue to move forward.
Went with a friend to an AA/NA meeting today for moral support.
She's been having an issue with painkillers, and with 2 small children and a job in the medical field it was becoming problematic in her life, so after some prodding she started seeking treatment, and in addition to an outpatient treatment, it was recommended she start going to meetings.
It reminded me of...

This convo happened today:
"I hate Obamacare because I don't want kids being given condoms and birth control because that'll make them have sex."
So guns kill people.
"What? No, guns don't kill people. What's that got to do with anything?"
If guns don't kill people, then condoms don't CAUSE sex.
"..."
Exactly.

Tell me again why we need access to guns that can fire more than 100 rounds in rapid succession?
Tell me why the average civilian needs to be able to get semi-automatic rifles?
Tell me why we're the only nation in the world that has suffered more than 50 school/mass shootings in roughly 20 years and the next nation down the list has suffered 4,...

Disappointment is the day you were scheduled to go get some inkwork done by your long time artist- you've been sick as a dog and have to cancel. Ah well... all the touchups will have to wait.
cpkz:
My artist got super sick on Friday, when I was scheduled to have a tattoo on Saturday. Right there with you.
bitten:
I hope I do get to make it up there. We should surely hang out!! I am sad you left when I just met you. You should scout out some cool locales for me and Heathen.

Update:
I am fully registered for school and signed up for classes at College of DuPage in IL
I am still living in Aurora, but home to move a little further north as soon as my finances improve.
Today I'll be meeting with the owner of the Pro-Wrestling company I used to work for and seeing if we can't hash out details about my return...
