I spent last weekend up north with my stepfamily. Hadn't seen any of them in a long time so it was fun. Drank beer, played with a stepneice in a sandbox, and played Battlefield 1942 with one of my stepbrothers after fixing one of his computers.

Blew a lot of $$ on Monday. Bought a pair of Chuck Taylors, a new backpack, and camping supplies. Next up is a tent and sleeping bag.

I've got this huge fucking stack of CDs on my desk that I need to listen to. A bunch of them are from my editor and thusly need to be reviewd. The others are from an Internet pal in the UK. She's really cool and graciously sent me 10 dics worth of tunes that I, in her words, "need to listen to". Fuck me. I've got days worth of music lying around that I haven't even touched. I've put on some of what she sent me and like what I've heard so far. That Hope Sandoval chickie from Mazzy Star has a great voice. Oddly enough, I bought a book on classical music today. I'm getting that feeling again...like it's time to crank up The Rite of Spring and Carmina Burana really fucking loudly.

People think Marylin Manson is scary. Fuck that. Orff - Stravinsky: they make him sound like Pat Boone.
