Had an okay week. Kind of hectic with the new cats. Trying to get them acclimated to their new home has been interesting. Merlin is also trying to get used to them. Merlin is a Maine Coon, and he has been here for 2 years. He is seeming to get used to the newbies, but it's still a learning experience. I guess it'll take a few weeks for everyone to be used to all the new people and surroundings.
So, last week was pretty lame/boring as I'd come home from work and just make sure kitty had killed another. I doubted there would major issue, but it was always nice to see three live kitties when I got home. But, I'd just hang out and make sure they were playing nice.
Then I took the babies to the ver on Friday. That was less than positive. It seems they will need a little more work than anticipated. Findings:
Zelda

She needs a dental cleaning, has inflamed lymph nodes (probably an infection), needs meds for a few weeks, and seems as though she might have been hit by a car when she was younger. She is missing some teeth on the left side of her face, and her left eye wanders some. She also has a lazy tongue, so it lolls out of her mouth.
Willow

She needs a dental cleaning, and she has geardia. Apparently it is a protozoa infection. It is treatable, but ALL the cats have to be treated, and it's a three week regimen.
It's a little more than was planned, but they are adorable babies. I know they're worth it.

We had about $2,800 in tools and charity. Which is a lot for some broke bitches like us! I'm trying to round up the money we'll see how it goes!
