Okay, the holidays are upon us. The next few weeks are going to be crazy. On top of Issy suffering from cancer and Merlin having a spraying issue, there are several parties coming down the pike.
Tomorrow is the annual Christmas Ornament Painting Potluck. Should be fun, but it's a bunch of hauling. I'm responsible for tables, paints, and chairs. Don't have to cook though. I guess that's what I get for being the one who has all the party supplies. Oh well, I enjoy hosting and socializing.
Sunday is book club for a friend's wife. That'll give he and I chance to play some cribbage. I love that he actually knows how to play, so few do, and I almost never get a chance to play card games anymore.
Then, I'm hosting the PSU Crew Christmas Party. No, not an official Penn State Party, just a large group of friends that I went to Penn State with getting together for a potluck and a PollyAnna gift exchange - cut throat style. Always a ton of fun. I enjoy hosting, and I haven't had the opportunity to in @ 6 years. But it's always a ton of prep work. Good though.
Most of the prep is cleaning - can get maids for that haha. All the beer and booze is purchased.
Then comes the real holidays. Family and gifts and travel back to PA. Tons of driving. But, if there isn't a ton of snow, should be no big deal. Lots of obligatory stuff, but usually turns out well.
I hope everyone else has great holiday plans. Let me know if there are any great parties to attend
