Well folks, I guess it's time for a life event update.
Tomorrow I go in for fairly major Surgery.
For the last two months I've been suffering with some pretty serious back issues. Truth be told this isn't something I saw coming at the age of 35. However, my father had a similar surgery at his age. Degenerated disc blows, needs to be repaired. So as of this time tomorrow my L5 and S1 will be fused together with some metal.
Apparently there are about 750,000 of these surgeries preformed yearly and I'm pleased to say I'm in the very capable hands of Dr. Drew Bednar. Who is quite highly regarded.
I'll be out for a few weeks that's for sure. Three weeks of intensive rest, and then a few months of re-habbin'.
I'm very thankful to have had the support of friends and family, and customers of the "bean" as well. Thank you all so very much for your kindness.
If there is anything that I have learned through this process, it is how vital it is to take care of your mental and physical health. The saying is true: "You don't know what you got, till it's gone."
That, and that everyone is dealing with something, sometime. Which means we would all benefit from being more compassionate and understanding.
Thank you to my family, friends, co-workers, health care professionals and strangers who have all been so very kind.
In the great words of Mr. Springer, Take care of yourselves, and others.
Cheers folks, for tomorrow I re-awaken
THE BIONIC WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😎😎
