OK, OK, so...
I've been an SG member now for a month and never bothered with a blog or journal entry or anything like that. I figured... who wants to read about what I'VE got to say? Well... in the sense of actually coming and visiting my profile and checking out my specific blog... being interested in the word of me, and ONLY me... y'know...
But I've been active on a couple of the group boards for a while now, particularly the Atheists forum. And I've enjoyed it!
So today I've been poring over ALL of the group options I can join. I thought I'd see what's going on. What kinda thing would interest me and all that. And I ended up joining quite a lot!
But there were two or three that required journal entries as a pre-requisite for application, so... here I am! Spilling my innermost thoughts all over the internet. I don't suppose anybody will actually READ what I'm writing for quite a while yet.. I guess that might change as I become more active on the boards, I might say say something that somebody finds interesting (or idiotic?) and then they might come to see my journal. So this is my first entry.
Now... I WOULD make this entry a bit longer, and keep talking and talking and talking, but... I gotta go. Gotta go pick up the wife from work! She'll be pissed if I'm late.
Oh, and if you're a group owner reading this because you're checking out whether or not to let me join, send me a message if you have any questions
I'm a nice guy, honest.
Bye

Journals help people get to know you. You'll be surprised at who comments.
It also allows space for people to leave you comments that don't belong in Testimonials, and aren't so private as to need a private message.

If I see someone on a group that I think is interesting I go check out the blog and groups for that person. I think it gives you a better idea of what that person is like than their profile. I blog once or twice a week just about random stuff but it's always a suprise what people will comment on and often leads to interesting topics.
