I enjoy my family Thanksgiving dinners every year but for the last few I have felt kind of trapped into going, and I've wanted to do something different. Well this year my mom went down to Southern Illinois to spend a couple days with her ailing brother, so I had freedom to do what I pleased. Well after feeling like a lost soul about it for a couple weeks, my friend Rachel invited myself and a couple other people over, for the "orphans" Thanksgiving dinner. And it was great. She made so many special efforts to make sure I had plenty of food to eat and she was so cute, and proud, "Look, I even used a different spatula for all your food! See?!! Look at the package for this stuff, I read all the ingredients!" I love her. We watched the Devil's Rejects, which is truly a family film for Thanksgiving, then Stella Shorts, which nobody really seemed to appreciate the way I'd hoped. C'mon, it's Mrs. Claus with a big boner. How is that not awesome?
After dinner I stopped over to JK's house for dessert. Her family is rad, I especially love her grandma, she's funny and cool. Her dad kept makin' me cocktails "oh, another customer, comin' right up" We watched Finding Nemo, Milo & Otis, and Return to Oz, and some bootleg-ass Muppet movie that Jordan tried to convince me was authentic. Now I smell like smoke (good smoke, not cigarette smoke) from tending the fire all night.
I feel ok. I hope the rest of my weekend has lots of good stuff innit.

That's pretty much what I'm doing. Except I have no dumpster. So I have to wait for trash day. That kind of backs things up, and I've got a bunch of bags full of shit everywhere. I can't, however, throw out furniture. Nor do I want to. I need to get this place cleaned up enough to have an estate sale.
