The feelings and thoughts expressed in the blog preceding this one are still very present in my mind and I recommend (if you are inclined to care) checking it out. I felt the need for a distraction however and have managed to cheer myself up some so... enjoy!

Today was a good day.

I started it off with my normal Saturday ritual of going to Starbucks to read for several hours. Some brief back-story:

Some time ago, when I made my very first visit to Starbucks with the intention of reading for several hours, I came across an extremely attractive young lady sitting in one of the "nice chairs". At this particular Starbucks all the "nice chairs" come in pairs with a table shared between them. They are much coveted as the "regular chairs" are hard, and uncomfortable. This young lady (who one of the characters in a book I just read would have referred to as an HB10 or HB9.5 at the very least) was sitting in only one of the "nice chairs". Somehow, I managed to not be shy and I asked her politely if the other chair was taken. She said, "No, feel free." So I did. I even managed to make some very brief conversation with her about an amusing woman who entered the store carrying a very cute puppy in her arms. Alas, my cowardice prevailed and our conversation did not actually progress past that point.
It was so brief, that I've even managed to memorize it.
** Woman places puppy on the ground and puppy begins to prance around her feet. The eyes of everybody in the store are drawn to her and everybody inadvertently smiles **

HB10 to Me "I don't know, I think it's kind of cute "

... And that's it. Pathetic, yes I know, but to an introvert like me it made me smile.

Well I've seen her several times since then. It would seem she shares the same Saturday ritual as me. However, I've never managed to say anything to her since then. Nor have I managed to find an excuse to sit next to her. Maybe next week...

So I saw my HB10 again and, if possible, she looks more ravishing each time. I suppose it's probably my imagination. I'd say she's an HB11 at the very least now. And she likes to read! Well anyways, as with the past 5 weeks or so, I said nothing to her. I'm not even sure if she remembers me anymore, although I have to believe that this:

I decided I wanted to see a movie, so I went to go see In Broges. Let me tell you guys, this movie is a treat. I was laughing my ass off through a lot of it and just stunned through a good portion of the rest. It wasn't a masterpiece or anything like that but it was a seriously funny, and seriously fun movie. Colin Farrell is a really amazing actor when he's cast well. I fully recommend it to all of you.

After this I returned to my room for a bit to plan the rest of the day. While talking to Kindle and Riz, I decided that today I would find a playmate for my baby.

I think I've mentioned the possibility before but I don't think I've ever actually told any of you about my baby. Well, I suppose I should overload you with pictures like any proud parent. Spoiler-ed for the haters of unbearable cuteness:

Look! She even has a tattoo! (Balisong is Benchmade's version of Balisang which is the Philipino name for Butterfly Knives, which is what my baby is! )

I should start carrying those on a roll in my wallet huh? Then I could show people on the train and at work and they can all gush over how beautiful she is!

Well, my baby sure is beautiful and amazing and... well one of two things/people I've ever bestowed the adjective of "perfect" upon. And trust me guys, she deserves it.
And my baby has been very lonely This makes me sad. I don't have time to play with her all day anymore when I'm at work or busy not hitting on HB10's at the local coffee shop. Sooooooo I got my baby a brother! I think they're going to get along just great. And just like for my baby, I have looooooooads of pictures of her new brother to share with you guys!

He even has a matching tattoo with his sister! (His just says "Benchmade" though because he's not a butterfly knife but I still love him very very much.)

Now just in case any of you out there are doubting how strong my babies are. I want to show you what happened in an accident. I was just petting my new baby boy and I got a teeny little cut. I was being very very gentle with him, but accidents always happen. So in case any of you ever get a chance to meet my babies, you gotta remember to be super careful.

It's hard to see but there's a little cut there. Like a paper cut. But these babies could do much much more if they got angry.

Well, I hope you guys all loved meeting my beautiful children. OMYGOSH I almost forgot! While I was showing you all my new baby boy, my baby girl started getting jealous of all the attention her new brother was getting. (I guess Daddy set a bad example that way ) But you won't believe the video she made to show you what she can do. I don't know how she got me to do that intro, I have no memory of it I swear.
