Alright I did it. I took my "Before" pictures and I'm going to post them....yikes! scary stuff.

This is ewww for me. I never see me from the back. It needs some work
So I just found out that you should replace your running/jogging shoes every 300-400 miles. 300 if you are in the heavy side (which I think would include me). If I did a mile a day for a year that would put me over and my shoes are at least 5 years old since I got the when I worked at the Shoe Dept. So who knows how many miles they have!
But ignoring miles I know its time because all the stuffing is gone, the inside is ripped and the hard plastic is rubbing against my foot. So if you come across a review for good running shoes let me know! I want to break them in before my 5K run which will be the 1st week in December.

Congrats on the before pictures! I'm too shy to post mine. What kind of workouts are you doing?

I'm starting to train for my 1st 5K run. 3 days a week I will do interval runs (run 1 min. walk 2 min.) for 2 miles. The days I'm not doing the interval runs I'm walking 2-3 miles (depending on rain and how far my dog will go with me.) Since today is day one I'm not sure what else I'm going to do. I should probably throw in some pilates and yoga. I have a bunch of work out videos so maybe I will do those! I keep my the SG world posted I what I end up doing.
