Time for another roommate rant.....ok so yesterday I went fishing with my boyfriend (caught a ladyfish, snook, and nurse shark) got home around 1:30am. I came in as very quietly and quickly so the dog wouldn't bark long. Well my roommates were up so my efforts were rested but no big deal. Well I was extremely tired and was trying to get to bed....I figured they would be too since both of them have to be at work at 7am. I was wrong.
The roommate who has the room next to me had his tv on with the volume so loud that I could clearly hear it...he wasn't even in the room. He was argueing with the other roommate (who is also the landlord and his cousin). It kinda sounded like they were right out side my room And of course they were yelling about sharing cigs. I can block them out, but my prairie dog, Hayley, can't. She was up and pissed. She did her prairie dog yell and then began to shake the cage (the metal nosie I can't block out) and throwing stuff around her cage. I asked them to lower the volume of the tv and themselves (I was nice about it)....come 3am they finally did. Yea bed time.
6am...roommates alarm goes off it sounds like a fire alarm. He lets it go off for 30 minutes!!!!
Well I'm up since Hayley is up and still pissy. I go into the bathroom...or try when I'm pushed out of the way b/c someone is going to be late. Finally they leave and Hayley has fallen back to sleep so I go back to sleep.
wake up later...hungry so I go out to the kitchen...MISTAKE...the kitchen is a mess...there are 3 sinks full of dirty dishes (the dishwasher is empty b/c I am always unloading it) There is dog throw up on the floor....the stuff that was there Saturday when I went to work (I was told by the landlord/owner of the dog that he would clean it up on Saturday) The counter is covered in a mess as well. This mess is peanut butter, chocolate syrup, and MY graham crackers. I know it shouldn't be that big of a deal but I was told if I labeled my food would be safe.
Ok for anyone who doesn't know this is not the 1st time and last month when I was soaking a pan overnight the next morning the kitchen was plastered with sticky notes about keeping it clean.
It really pisses me off. I hope I can find a new place to live soon....if I didn't just get this job I would have had my stuff packed in a U-Haul truck and have started driving home today.
