All right, I promised pics of the Chinese Hell bar, and here they are. The bar is called Seiryumon and is in Shinjuku, not too far from the station.
Here's a group of my friends at the table, just to get an idea of what the place looks like inside:
Unfortunately I didn't get any shots of all the metalwork. There's a low-ceiling walkway through the middle of the place flanked with curved bars, and there are tables behind the bars, it's kind of like cages. We were in the open section at the end of the walkway, though. Much less claustrophobic.
This is a giant cactus, it's part of the wall:
One of the most interesting aspects is how they decked out the restrooms. In the women's room there's a giant floor-to-ceiling head that, when you least expect it, starts to sing and move towards you, then back again. It gets really fecking close, too- the damn thing was touching my knees when I was trying to pee. I got a video of it, too, although part of it is sideways because I forgot that I couldn't change the orientation on a video like I can a photo.

I'd like to point out that I didn't move or zoom at all, the head was moving backwards. I had no room to move, I was pressed against the back wall straddling the toilet when I filmed this.
The men's room features a urinal that swings back and forth and sings. This happens at random, much as the head in the girls' room does. The shirt also has obscene drawings on it. My video for this one isn't quite as good, I only got a bit of footage of the thing in action, but you get to hear some choice commentary from my friends and me.

These last two pics aren't from the bar. Here's a view of Shibuya right out of the station:
And remember: Water! It is very important.
(So important, in fact, that I'm drinking a pineapple chuhai.)

The boa is ok for the set, but I wouldn't recommand it for going out, because with ev'ry move you make, you loose a feather
