I finally got my old account back... this makes me happy.
I have been a member of this site for so long, though admittedly not an active member. Life has always been too busy for me to get too involved in social interactions that take place on here... not to mention some of them are just so fucking exhausting and tiresome. People don't make it easy to be friendly these days. It even worse than the old cliques and stereotypes of my days as a teen. Back then it was just silly immaturity. These days, it's serious intent when someone realizes you aren't 'like them'.
Anyway, I left the site for a while from 2009 until 2010 when life got temporarily complicated and I let my account lapse. When I signed back in I couldn't remember my password and I had stopped using and deleted the old email associated with it so I just made a new account under the name MikeSRice, figuring 'what the hell.' Last week I had some free time and decided to email the staff about the account and low and behold, they activated it for me and transferred my membership back to it.
Now I'm not sure why I'm attached to an account that was never used for much of anything, but I guess its just a dominate trait of not liking to give up things that I've claimed. *shrugs* Maybe its just so I can say 'yep, I've been here that long.' I dont know.. don't really care... just glad I got it back.

I'm trying to make it a habit and part of the routine. Homework/reading HAS to be done before he can play after school. He is just a stubborn pain. When he finally reads and gets it done, he has taken an hour longer than he should have. I've told him "Would you rather spend 20 min just reading and get it done so you can go out and play OR fight with me for almost an hour and STILL have to read for 20 min and also lose all that time to go out and play?" It can go either way. But yeah, I have to keep on him constantly or he gets nothing done. I try to be as strict as I can without being too strict. Its frustrating and I wish he didn't hate it so much.
