Well, I've been kind of a lurker on SG lately. Haven't much posted or updated my blog, but I'll give it a shot tonight. I hope life is going well for all my friends here. For me, life is very busy. My girlfriend has visited me the last three weekends, which has been awesome. This last week we went to the Engineers' Charity Ball at my university as I'm a construction engineering student. It was pretty fun for the most part. Though, the crowd was full of typical engineers. It was funny though. I'll post some pictures later in this blog. I've also joined a few student organizations: Associated General Contractors of America, of which the ISU chapter has won National Chapter of the Year three years in a row now. This is my first year as part of AGC, but hopefully we'll make it four! No other student chapter has ever three-peated. I've also joined Emerging Green Builders and the US Green Building Committee. Atop that, I'm also studying with another student here to become LEED accredited. LEED being the Leadership in Efficient Environmental Design (or something like that). It's a 400+ page manual and a $250 dollar test, but it's something I'm really interested in, so I'm going to work hard at that so I can take my LEED test over Thanksgiving break. It should be a good resume booster too
On the home front, I'm toilet training my cat! Haha. So far it's gone well. Over the last week, the steps taken have been: 1, get her litter box in the bathroom. 2, gradually move her litter box up in height till it's level with the toilet. 3, move the litter box over the toilet. 4, the stage we're on, replace the litter box with a mixing bowl placed in the toilet, under the toilet seat, with some litter in it. She's a bit awkward at this stage right now. There's not much room for her to scratch around and prepare to do her 'bidness' - which is the point. This is the second day and it's been going well. I'll be removing litter as time passes and then Friday, I'll start filling the bowl up with a bit of water so that she'll be forced up on the seat to potty. Then hopefully by Sunday, the bowl will disappear and it'll just be poo in the toilet! It should be great. If it fails, well, I'll have to go buy more litter. But I'm enjoying the idea of getting rid of that expense and having the place just smell nicer as the litter I've got has one wicked weird smell.
Other than that, school's going ok. Though, I completely missed the boat on differential equations from the start, so I think I'm going to have to drop that class and try again in a semester or two. I can't catch up and I have a miserable teacher. Boo. This is my forth year and I haven't dropped a class yet, so I think I've earned one!
So for some pictures of my life, under the spoilers.

Im glad things are going so well for you, you and your girl are so cute!...You will have to let me know how the toilet training goes...I have had my fair share of cats, and that litter is dang expensive, but I have never tried the toilet training.
