Ha! Turns out I'm not just sick. Later that night from my last post I went to the ER for the excessive bleeding and stomach pains. They treated me for about three hours in Charles City with an IV, drugs, and a CT scan of my abdomen, then took me by ambulance to my hospital in Ames. I've been here since 7 AM Sunday. Hopefully I'll be out tomorrow afternoon! They've all but diagnosed me with Crohn's disease which is some sort of chronic inflammatory bowel disease that I'll have to treat for the rest of my life. The doctor said health insurance needs to be my number one priority in picking out an employer when I graduate because it costs about 45,000 a year to treat Crohn's. Ridiculous.
I'm on steroids now and had a colonoscopy yesterday. Today I'm just resting. I'll post more later, I spose. But hopefully I get out of here soon!

my cousin has crohns, and she missed a semester of college because of it, and had part of her intestines removed. icky!
my cousin was on steroids for a while, but i think that she's off them and on something else now...
i wish you the best with that!
You should let me know when you're going to be up and moving around again. I will visit. I will bring you...a sammich. Yup. Peanut butter and jelly or ham?
If it makes you feel any better I have to go in to get a colposcopy. And I'm uber-nervous about it.
