Well, the week is half over, isn't that nice? I heart holiday weekends.

For Memorial Day, I drove a lot. About 450 miles worth. I drove from here to our lake home at Sun Valley, then to Lamoni to spend the day with my girlfriend and kitty. Then we drove back to Sun Valley to spend the night and next day on the lake with my whole immediate family plus significant others. Then we (my girlfriend and i) went to the casino. I came out $7 ahead, she came out $5 up which is not miserable for playing penny slots, I think. It almost covered the gasoline to get there! Then I spent the night on her couch, woke up, had a free casino buffet thanks to her parents, and headed back (alone) to Sun Valley lake. Then I got the crap kicked out of me on a tubing spill after I'd challenged my dad that he couldn't get me off... He did. My back/butt hurt loads, but I was expecting a huge bruise, but there isn't one. To be honest, I'm not sure when I last had a big bruise - I guess I've just got strong skin. That's really too bad, because huge bruises are cool.

My summer is plowing ahead at full speed. It's still the same story. 9-11am I have class, then 1-5/whenever I work construction. After that, I waste away the rest of my evening being unproductive. I can't find any time to accomplish anything worthwhile and it's really driving me nuts. I did do some calculus problems this evening, so that's something.

Anyone interested in pictures of my kitty? She's grown so much. Oh, and she's probably not Bellatrix anymore. She has about a million nicknames, so I'm not sure what will be her official name, but I'll call her all of the following: Bellatrix, Bella, Bella Vanilla, Joelene, Jelly Bean, Beanie, and any combination of all the aforementioned names. She's so wonderful! We played all the while when I was in Lamoni, and after much playing, she'd climb up my leg, up my chest, and take a nap on my shoulder. She's the perfect parrot-cat!
