So, for almost four weeks now, I've been running in an attempt to train for a 5K this summer with my girlfriend. I started off strong, though I could only run 1.25 miles the first day, and then kinda got really busy and didn't run very much. But I got back into the swing two days ago with the goal of running 2.2 miles by the end of the weekend. I'd like to announce that I've demolished that goal. I ended up running 2.2 miles that day, 2.0 miles yesterday, and an amazing self-accomplishment of 3.36 miles today! Now I feel confident that I will indeed be able to run my 5K Midnight Madness without dying! That's good news, isn't it?
Now, since everything I do has to involve technology, the real reason I initially got excited about running was the cool accessories I could buy! My birthday had just passed, so I had a $100 gift card and another $20 gift card. I spend the hundred on some new Nike+ running shoes - gasp, I know! I'd never owned a pair of shoes that cost more than probably $50 before! I also bought the Nike+ iPod sport kit with my $20 gift certificate. I already had the iPod Nano, so I was set in that department. So, Nike+ keeps track of everything I run, so I thought I'd share the official stats with you! (Do you care? No, but there'll be pictures to look at!)

That's all! This is just my self-indulgence "look-at-me" post because I'm proud of myself. So don't bring me down if you can run a bajillion miles without breaking a sweat!
