Good news everyone!
First, I'm definitely passing all my classes. I didn't do as well in physics as I had hoped, but I'll take my C+ and walk away quietly. Who knows, after a little curve, it may even end up as a B-. Minus minus minus.
My last test is tonight, which is in my engineering problem solving class that I'm not exactly concered with. However I know I should be. I'm teetering just at a really high B+ and need to get that to an A-. My average test score in the class is 97%, so I don't think that'll be too difficult!
I'm half naked right now.
I have a new fish - well I've had him for awhile - Peetree decided to die on me, so I got a new betta and named him Alvin Dawlish Beaumont. He's pretty.
And the best news of all?!
I got a job! I'll be working this summer for a guy named James Utterback doing tons of construction work. He mentioned that we'll start off finishing a house, some exterior work, a bunch of decks, some drywall projects, and then in a month or so, start another new house. It's going to be grand. He's a really nice guy and did some work on our house several years ago and it's amazing. He asked how much I got paid at my last construction job a few years ago and when I told him $8/hour (which was pretty freaking low) he said he'd definitely do better than that! It's going to be a great summer ladies and gentlemen. With all the running and hard labor, I should come out pretty buff! Haha, we'll see about that...
But now I've gotta get cleaned up so I can go to Papa John's and shove it down their throats that I'm quitting their shitty job. I like a fair amount of the people there, but Ames residents, man, they're fucking cheap as hell. No one tips here. When I delivered in Kansas, I made 6/hour + 1/delivery + tips which added up to about 13-15 dollars an hour average (most untaxed). Here I make 5.50/hour (despite the fact that minimum wage just raised to 6.25) + 5% + tips which adds up to, at best, 9-11/hour, though I've left with much, much less than that.
Oh shit, I'm starting to worry about next semester and this summer. I just got my uBill and found out that the two classes I'm taking this summer are to cost me $2100. What the hell? I have to pay $300 in fees for computers, activities, and health. Fuck that, I'm not using any of your equipment ISU! I'm taking calculus III and construction law. WTF, mate? And next semester, oh next semester is when it gets rough. I'll be taking 18 credits, of which at least 12 are problem solving courses. Then in the spring I'll be taking a solid 20 credits so I can get my Spanish minor completed along with my regular schedule. Oh balls, next year will. be. hard.
But that's about all for now. Like I said, I gotta get myself cleaned up and go into PJ's to flaunt that I'm quitting. Excellent.
Here's my kitty!
And here we go, this is why I want my kitty sooooo badly!

If i'm gonna sleep in your bed I have to bring 2 things: my nightgown and Mr. Possum. (Don't laugh I'm just a baby.)
I have a Betta too.. Gorgeous, aren't they? What color did you get? Have you seen the females? They are pretty ugly
Congrats on the job and the grades! I hate to say it, eventhough a lot of people look down on people with construction jobs - I think it's hot I would love it if my man was into that sort of thing.. Architects are awesome too, it's great to think that they have the ability to imagine what kind of house/building they want and have the skills and know-how to build it.. Like an artist, you know?
What's ur fave subject in school anyway?
