Well fine, Suicide Girls Blog, don't let me post HTML!
I was trying to post a little java thinger that would let all of you nice people out there move little letter magnets (like on a fridge) around to leave me messages. It would have been grand, but nooooooo, no HTML here. So it's not allowed.
So, an update about my life, huh? It's pretty bad. I'm so so so busy all the time. Too much school, homework, and work make for a pretty unenjoyable time. I just about quit my job the other day because of all this stuff but instead severely cut my hours. I still need money.
If anybody ever thinks it might be fun to study to be an engineer, don't. It's not very fun. Calc II is kicking my hiney pretty hard. But, I'm in a sex class, so that's pretty rad. We learn about weiners, vaginas, g-spots and all sorts of good things like the such. I can't say I take the class too seriously though, I just found out I had a test today - ummm, today. So, maybe I didn't know the exact technical terms for the little glans that create pre-cum? Certainly I still did alright - I mean, I have had sex before. Sure I fumble around, but I kind of know what I'm doing
Bueno, my new favorite bands are RX Bandits (yeah yeah, I know they're old news, but I just started listening recently) and an Aussie band called Los Capitanes. So if you're into ska, check them out. Do people listen to ska any more? They really ought to bring back the scene - and not like Less than Jake and Catch 22 are continuing - they're not even playing ska! Where the hell are the horns?! I've mostly exhausted all the entertainment I can muster thru American ska though, and have since moved on to some Spanish and Latin American ska groups. Namely Ska-P, Inspector, and Skalariak, the last of which make me desperately want to learn Basque. So, if you're one of the 100,000 or so people left in the world that speaks Basque, please teach me.
Well, that's all I've got for now. I spose I'll bring this to an end with a lyric or two... hold on, let me think of one.
Well, while I'm trying to think of a good lyric, I'll just point out that ska is fucking unreal. How can you not have fun while listening to 7, 8, 9+ guys rocking the fuck out with all the "hu hu hu! brrrrrraah!" and such that goes on during the break down and build up of a good ska tune? Which brings me to Ska-P - a group that give my chills every time I listen to them. Son anti-racista, anti-gobierno, contra la pena de muerte, la guerra, y toda la desigualdad que existe en nuestro mundo, pero su musica es muy emocional y el ritmo de sus canciones es el opuesto de sus mensajes tan graves. So without understanding the language really well and knowing the songs entirely, it's far too easy for a non-native (como yo) to not understand that these up-beat guys are really unimpressed with the world. It's awfully inspiring really. Perfect, listen to ska, rant over. Here's a quote for the Americans:
