Soooo... Today was Warped Tour, and it was a blast! But there is more to it than that xD
It all started Thursday... *insert wavy lines dream sequence entrance thingy*
Thursday after school I went over to my friend Maddy's house and we plus her boyfriend and a few others went out to go see the midnight showing of Dark Knight on imax! it was awesome. A very good movie.
Anyways.. We got out of the movie, then went back to her house and didnt get thre till about 3.30 AM. Her boyfriend decided he didn't want his bass guitar anymore, so Maddy asked me if I wanted to purchase it off of him. She said it had rarely been used, and he needs the money bad, so I said i'd take a look at it, but since my current bass is a peice, i'd probably end up buying it. Well I get over to her appartment, and have a gander, and it ends up being a REALLY nice Epiphone Goth Thunderbird IV. I asked her how much she wanted for it, and she said I could have it for $200 dollars, so I said yes instantly. Turns out it's actually worth about $500. xD

Well after we took care of that buisness, we hit the sack and then wake up about 7 AM, get ready and go off to pick up some friends who were going to Warped with us. On the way we're trying to figure out who will come with us because the night before, someone who was supposed to come with us bailed at about 11 PM after we've had the ticket for over a month. Well we managed to find someone, and we all head down to Comerica Park.
We get there at about 10.30, and wait in line for a while and finally get in. We found a guy there who looked like jesus, and he was selling these lists that had every band who was playing on it, what stage they were playing on, and at what time. PLUS a map of all the stages on the back.
First we went to go see the Horrorpops. I hadn't heard them before, but I have to admit, I wasn't disapointed, and may have a new band among my favorites. =]
Then after that the Aggrolites came on! It's been a while since I've last seen them, but they are deffinitly one of my top favorite bands. I love that Reggae sound. =]
Next, once again on the same stage, was this Japanese ska band called Oleskaband. It consisted of several extremly cute asian girls who barely spoke English. xD But damn could they play. Then the bass player (Who I thought was the cutest of the bunch) starts playing slap bass, and she instantly went up about 20 points on my hot list.
After they finished we scurried over to another stage to see The Briggs, who as always put on a great show.
Then we had some time to kill, and just kinda hung around in the bleachers in the stadium for a while watching the Tiger's groundskeepers spend all this time raking the sand, only to spray it all down with a hose. >.<
Then we went off to go see Street Dogs! Their show was Amazing. One of their merch guys brought over this huge 20ft tall banner that had the bands name on it, and the crowd started to throw a circle pit around it.

oh yah ^ up there is a really cute girl in checkered jeans ^.^ I saw her at like every band playing. I hope she's from the area, maybe she'll be at more shows. *crosses fingers*

It was awesome.
After they finished we had a little bit more time to kill, so we went back to the bleachers xD.
At about 5, Reel Big Fish comes on, and when they finally started to play, their guitarist, Aaron's setup wouldn't work, so they kinda just messed around for a few minutes, deciding to do some "Action-posing photo-ops"

They even counted down so you could get shots of them in mid-air xDDD

Eventually they got the guitar working properly and still played for a half hour. ^.^
After RBF went up then Pennywise was on, that was the first time i've seen them and it was quite crazy, but I enjoyed it. =D
After Pennywise finished there wasn't really any more bands playing worth seeing so we head home. All in all it was a really fun day, though I left warped feeling dissapointed.
I had kind of expected to meet some girls or something... This was kind of my first big event, since I broke up with my last girlfriend, almost a year ago and this really didn't seem to pan out at all. But then again, I don't ever, and have never ever really seemed to have very good luck meeting girls. I'm a rather shy guy, even though I'm centuries past what I used to be. Yet still, I find myself getting extremely intimidated by girls who I find attractive. I've been trying to fix this, but I don't really know where to begin, or what to do to take of this issue.
Hmm.. Any of you all have advice you wouldn't mind sharing? It would be greatly appreciated =/
