Oh yeah.. funny story.... Last weekend I went upnorth with my best friend, so she could visit her girlfriend (who just happens to live about 12 hours away, in a different country xDD) So we're driving on highway 129 north, in northern Ontairo going roughly 80 kmph, when out of the woods, in the corner of my eye, I see this huge black object then BAM.
The car actually get pushed into the next lane over, my friend is freaking out (we're driving her car), and I'm trying to keep controll of the car, and see what hit us. I glance in the rear-view mirror, and i look just in time to catch a medium-large Black Bear, shaking its head, and running back into the woods.
Now, keep in mind this is only the second black bear i've ever seen in person (in the wild, outside of the zoo) and as hard as he hit us, i'm freaking out that it got hurt. (I'm one crazy about animals =]. Not PETA crazy though. xD) My friend is natually worried about her car, so I take it down another mile or so, just to be carefull, then we get out. Miracuallasly the car has no damage what-so-ever! In fact, the bear actually managed to clean some mud off the side of her fender, and leave a nice "bear head-shaped" clean spot. xD
What amazed me the most was the fact that when we finally got into the town we were headed (Timmins), all of our friends native to the area (not nessicarily NATIVES natives, just the people who live in town..haha) are just as amazed that it happened as we are.
Haha.. well that's my fun story for the week xD
It looks as if this weekend is going to consist of much drinking. My first weekend in a while where i'm actually staying in town, and/or are not rediculously busy.
Then next Friday is Warped Tour! =]
I was actually invited by a friend who lives in Grand Rapids, who works for Stomp Records (Matt, from the Planet Smashers' label) to go to the Toronto show, cause he will be working at it, and can hook me up. But from the past few trips to Timmins in the past month, has left my wallet rather empty, and i'll barely be able to afford the show here.
Ah yes! and on Thursday its off to the IMAX theater to catch the opening of Dark Knight! =]
Well shit... It's One o'clock in the morning now, and I have to be up at Six for work... I guess I should be going.
