i never lose my keys. i lost my keys and i cant find my spare set. $200 to get another set... mad

Check your glove compartment, owners manual any other paperwork that came with the car and look for a key tag. With that a locksmith can decode it and make you a new key without changing the lock.

The other day, my only key broke in the ignition. We lucked out by finding my key tag taped inside my glove box. In the end it cost me $60 instead of $200
