a. do you think it's really important to love what you do?
b. really? would you rather do nothing than do something you hate?
c. do you think being broke and unemployed is justified if you're working on your craft?
d. if you didn't have a job and were getting shit for it from your family, would it bother you?
e. do you feel worthless when you don't have a job?
f. do you need a job to feel like you're contributing to the world?
g. would you rather be financially strained and enjoying life or well-off and leading a mediocre life?

these are all things i struggle with every day. i know what i want and how i feel, and i'm generally on the more enlightened side of those answers, but it's tough when you come from a very conventional up-bringing.

a. yes, more than anything.
b. yes. i'm doing it right now.
c. absolutely. i don't have a "job" but i have 9 weddings booked, which is "eventual" income
d. it bothers me more than anything. shut your fucking mouth and mind your business. i don't need you knocking me down.
e. no, but people try to make me feel that way.
f. no, when i have a job i generally feel like i'm just contributing more to capitalism. fuckit.
g. financial strain makes it difficult to enjoy life at times, but overall i'm happier and more enlightened than most people who are well-off and drunk on materialism. go buy a bigger flat screen tv, douche.
7deuce:
a. very much so
b. no, my daughter needs to eat.
c. if it is a long term plan and that no one else other than yourself is lacking because of it, yes.
d. not if i didn't have my daughter. i'm my own person.
e. kinda... frown
f. yes... frown
g. i woudl rather enjoy life... but my daugher needs a roof over her head, food in her belleh, and clothes on her back. before my happyness comes into play.

groove:
a. Yes. It's essential. Not loving what you do will cause you more misery than not having money...
b. Yes, I'd rather do nothing.
c. Sure. If you are working toward a goal, and perfecting your craft, nothing wrong with that.
d. Unless they were loaning me money (always a bad idea) I'd tell them to shove it. It's my life, not theirs. I love 'em, but they don't have to live with my decisions... I do.
e. Sure... there is a lot of "self-worth" in our society that is tied to jobs/money. But not having a conventional job doesn't mean one is a layabout... you can be *working* without making a lot of money and still have a sense of worth.
f. Nope. Not at all.
g. Financially strained and enjoying life. Undoubtedly!!
