So my mom.. really likes to see how much alcohol it takes to get me smashed. The other night it was mojitos... tonight she made blueberry martinis. Vodka, 3 tablespoons of frozen lemonade mix, and blueberry juice.. OH MY. I love my mom, she's awesome. I'm really smashed. I love you all...

Putting animals to sleep is always such a sad thing. I remember when my first pet was put to sleep, and the way it was explained to me... It never fully made sense until I realized that, as far as I can tell, it's the fault of people who won't get their animals spayed or neutered. As much as I love keeping cats and dogs as pets, how they extend our life and make for wonderful companions in a way that other people just can't for some people, the population has to be controlled or the already overburdened people who run shelters and clinics are forced to put more and more down. If we want to keep animals as pets, its our responsibility to care for them in the way that makes the most, functional sense. I hope you don't have to do too many more of these, and that people wise up in a hurry. It's folks like you that are forced to shoulder the responsibilities of pet owners that want the benefits of owning a pet, but not that of caring for another life! And I, on behalf of the rest of us, thank you for that.
