xmas: round 1
things weren't nearly as depressing as last year. yes, at xmas supper, i still only got one present (from my grandpa), but it didn't seem to bother me as much this year...
what just confuses the hell out of me is that now that there's a whole bunch of step cousins, they just get loaded with presents. they've been in the family for all of 2 - 4 years, and they get something from EVERYONE. but i only get something from my grandpa. it's hard not to feel jilted. i think it was easier this year because i was expecting it.
i got several things that i wanted; a tv table to put all my consoles on, a new chef's knife, sharpener, and poly prep board, a usb hub (which i really needed), plus several misc things.
of course, round 2 starts tomorrow when i go to my dad's. i'll get the other 2/3 of my presents then.
and, of course, the real challenge surrounding xmas is figureing out what the hell to do with all my kid's new toys *sigh*.
