I just spent $42 on a gallon of paint.
i think that's a little high. There is an eco-friendly home store that opened near me in mt. airy. I wanted to support it, and also, I've been remodleing my bathroom for about the past year and a half. I've gotten to the stage where its time for me to slap a coat of paint on it, hang a mirror and call it done. So I went to the shop to check it out, and its nice, but certainly not budget. I figure its good to have a paint that has no acetate, formadelhydae or any of those gross solvents in the one room where i steam and soak myself on a daily basis, so we'll consider it money well spent.


This is a fun website of Ayurvedic Paint Colors. This isn't the paint I got, I just got some semi-gloss white. However, If you go to the site, you can learn about ayurveda, and color healing and they have fun roll-over menus where the colors bounce all around. Veena and I were thinking that we should become Ayurvedic Interior Decorators, and charge our clients a fortune to pick out appropriate colors for them. It's ok, we would be worth it.

Hopefully the bathroom will be done soon, and i can post pictures. I am kicking myself that I didn't take "before" pictures, because it really is a whole new world.
