I have the day off from everything today! So, that means I get to clean.
I really need to start looking into getting some furniture. Bookshelves, mainly. And maybe a couple futons or something. I'm very big on lounging and if I had some things to lounge around on, I might like staying home more often. There really isn't much to do at home and it's not really a comfortable environment to hang out in, so I tend to run off any chance I get.
I have to do laundry, too. I need to rewash all my black stuff because as soon as I bring it in and leave it unattended, Tiger will climb and dig in the basket and I swear he seeks out the black items to rub all over and get it furry.
I get to see infinitelykaty again next week! I miss her. I still can't believe how hard we partied when she was out here last time. It's like we were life-force vampires or something... feeding off of each other's energy to keep going. There is no way I could keep up at that pace on my own.
Tonight I'm going to meet up with my friend Marcie for dinner and drinks at The Rainbow, then she's heading off to check out Better Than Ezra at The Roxy and I'm going to trip on down to The Cat Club to see Brett Hellings perform. I'm excited! I think he'll really put on a great show.
Last night my friend Clemens - whom I rarely see because he lives in Venice - called and invited me out to the Moving Pictures Magazine Pre Cannes Party at CineSpace. I've been meaning to check out CineSpace for sometime, and figured this to be the perfect opportunity to check out the venue and hang out with him again. He is such a sweet man.
Michael Franti of Spearhead screened his film I Know I'm Not Alone. I got in just in time to catch the end of it, but afterwards he took the stage and did a few songs, so at least I got to see him perform and chat with him a bit.
Woody Harrelson was there, and I didn't get as freaked out by him as I did when I met him at LAX a few months back. He's quite the gentleman. I also met Alicia Silverstone. She's an absolute sweetheart! Very friendly. I'm still surprised when I see celebrities in person... somehow I always expect them to be a lot taller than they are in real life.
I wonder what other celebrities were there. When Clemens and I walked into the venue, right away there were huge cameras and lights in our faces. I was like, "What the fuck is this??" And I'm sure the camera guys were thinking, "Who the hell is that??" I was wearing my "magic outfit", super low-rise green corduroys, a hot pink t-shirt with the Muppet Animal on it and high-heeled sandals. I've started referring to it as my "magic outfit" because of it's power to attract interesting people. I think it's a mixture of the color scheme and the butt cleavage the low-rise pants displays.
I have to wash it so I can wear it again tonight.
My friend Tyler is shooting his latest short for Blue Ribbon Panel and has asked me to play a small part. It's been awhile since I've done any on camera acting, so I'm very thankful to have only one line. I'm happy he asked me to be in it. Even though it's a small part, I'm interested in observing the process of making a short film.
Okay, well, I guess I should start cleaning.
Happy Cinco de Mayo!

I wasn't aware Franti had done a movie. From what you saw of the end of it, did it seem like a real didactic, political thing, or more artsy? I'm curious. Last night, I saw OLD BOY, a Korean movie that must go down on my all-time favorites list-- almost the same kind of energy and intensity as Holy Mountain, by Jodorowsky. If you can find it screening where you live, I strongly suggest you check it out-- easily the best movie of the year. Try the Nuart or the theatre on 3rd in S.M.
Also wanted to add what a lovely lady you are. Your smile is off-the-wall beautiful. Thanx for the photosets.

Sometimes I think back on those days we spent together in Hollywood, and the fact that we came out of it alive almost makes me believe in Jesus and his miraculous ability to perform miracles.
Almost.
I skipped downstairs to dinner earlier and when I came back to my phone there was a traffic jam of new text messages. I freaked out! I love the Squirter t-shirt idea. If you come up with a design, I say post the idea in the SG Group. If it floats, I'll see about prices. To get the shirts ordered I'd need desired sizes.
Oh yeah! my shirts are up on ebay here and here. Not actually auctions, I'm selling them at a set price. (much easier!)
And it just occured to me that my father is retiring later this year. Maybe he'll give us his printing equipment.
And finally, I just bought my plane ticket. I will see you next week! EEEEEEEEE!!!! I AM EXCITED!
We're gonna be the hottest prom date evah.
