Slowly, he goes from cute, to beautiful...
I'm talking about my son. EdWood Scissorclaws.
I wish I had some piccies to show the metamorphasis but it's always one thing or another, batteries not charged, light not right, he's to antsy to hold still, whatever.
You'll just have to take my word for it.
His adult coat is coming in, and he's not just simply cute anymore he's becomming a work of art.
I don't mean to objectify him, after all he is my son.
But he's not just any dog. He's a dog that has been bred for centuries, for their luxurious coats, beautiful faces, high intellect, and devoted temperaments. There is even evidence of the Papillon woven into tapestries from the 13th century. They were the companions of queens. They were Marie Antionette's companionsas well, although I'm no fan of hers, she held one in her arms as she ascended the scaffold, and before her execution she handed the dog to her chambermaid and said "See that she is not hurt." And she wasn't. The dog was taken to a place in paris that is now called Le Maison De Les Papillons. House of the Papillons and the bloodline of that dog went on.
It's just so astonishing to realize what has been my "cute l'il puppy" for so very long is growing into such a work of beauty and sophistication. I'm so proud of him, not just of his beauty but of his insight, his intellect, and sence of responsibility. he's very protective, as we are of him.
The main reasoning behind me taking that crappy job last year was so that I could get my dog. The closest thing I'll ever have to a son. And right after I got him, They got rid of me... And now looking back I'm glad they did. I'm glad I got to be with him through his puppyhood and raise him up right. Because you can't put a price on what we have now, and he's barely 6 months old! In October he'll be an absolute masterpiece! Wow!

It's nice to know there's good people out there that love their pets like you do. Few and far between!
