OK, let's face it - the Tarot-card-a-day thing isn't working. Sorry, folks. I'm just not into it right now. It's so damn hot, I can't think. GOD, I hate summer. Can it please just end now??? kthxbye.

We went and saw Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Friday night at the Laurelhurst with some friends. It was MUCH better than I expected! I'd heard almost nothing but mediocre-to-bad stuff about it. I dunno, shows how out of synch I am with the rest of humanity, I guess (like I needed reminding). I enjoyed it very much. Makes me want to go back and read the books again. That's a good idea, no matter what. The Laurelhurst is a kick-ass theater - they sell beer and pizza in the lobby, and the seats have long tables in front of them so you can eat and drink away while watching the movie. Sweet!

Not much else going on. We're going to Arizona (Tuscon) on the 26th for the wedding of a friend of Byron's, and since we've never been there and have some time off afterwards, we're hanging out for a few days and coming back on my birthday (the 31st). Should be fun. I hope. I desperately need some kind of distraction/vacation type of thing.
