No, the reason I'm wearing white is, I'm preparing myself for something grand. The short version: I'm getting initiated into the Lucumi/Santeria religion in July. I had a divination reading last week, and (amongst many other things) I was told to start wearing lighter colors more often, and white a lot. After I'm initiated, I have to wear white for a week. So, I wore some white a couple days ago, and man, it felt good. I was very surprised. I was forced to wear white uniforms when I worked in a doctor's office years ago, and I absolutely hated it. Now, though, I'm starting to appreciate the spiritual aspects of wearing white and am getting over the "institutional" feeling I had before.
If you had told me when I became Pagan 10 years ago that this is where I'd end up, I would have asked you what you were smoking. But who'da thunk it - this is where I belong. Life is just the strangest thing ever.
