I've been kinda quiet and distant lately, trying to make my way through snowy (and now rainy) January without drawing too much attention to myself while I deal with a dash of heartbreak and the cold weather blues. Been keeping my head down and working my ass off to pay for my trip to L.A. in March and am pretty proud of how well I've been doing with the whole savings thing, its definately a first.
This weekend I got news which brightened my soul so much, a job offer overseas. I can't go into too much detail just yet but its basically my dream job, just in a city I know nothing about, so I spent today looking at maps and trying to work out where the hell I could end up living and what the chances of me liking it there are, and its looking good. When I realised the city has a theme park I actually screamed with joy and thats pretty much made my mind up, so I'm gonna be speaking to who could possibly turn out to be my boss and seeing if this is really gonna happen as soon as I can. I didn't think I'd be looking at moving out of Brighton just a year after moving here but I figured while the only ties I have are nice friends and a flat I'll be sad to give up, I might as well take the risk, Brighton will always be here waiting for me if I want to come back.
So as February comes closer I'm feeling tons more hopeful and getting excited about seeing all my friends at Brighton Convention next weekend.
I hope 2010 is proving to be good to all you lovely people and that the rain that washed the snow away hasn't taken anyones smiles with it.
Love & hugs
