So far, wrecking my car has been the best thing to happen to me in a while.
Recap, 120 mph, big curve, no stop, demolished car. And let me tell you, Jettas may not keep on ticking, but they sure take a licking. Not a scratch on me.
So, insurance ended up totalling my car. That made me nervous because I thought I would owe more than it's worth, I thought I'd be dropped from insurance and I wasn't sure what to do about a new car, lease or buy.
Basically, I got called on my fantasy. I always wanted to just up and move to Scotland, but my possessions (car mainly) got in my way. Now, with no excuses, I realised that I didn't really care about that, it was just something nice to think about. So, I buy a new car.
I ended up getting another Jetta, but this one's better than the first. My payments are still the same except for the 6 year vs. 5 year loan, but the GLI has the cool ass rims, turbo, h.p., sport suspension, and the new paint job that I was always wanting. This car rocks! I'm so happy.
Plus, as it turns out, my old car was worth way more than I owed, so I'm getting a fat check as well. This is well timed because just yesterday I got fired from the new job that I hated. I would have stuck around for a couple of months just loathing my life, but instead I get fired, being released from a miserable existence. Yay being fired and yay extra money so I don't quite care.
Tomorrow I'm going to Magic Mountain! This is so awesome. Who knew freedom comes from wrecking your car and getting fired.
So far the only negative is that my insurance will go up about $400 every six months. Hopefully, that is the worst to befall me.
