The SGAZ group meet was great. I was nervous about how i was going to introduce myself, seeing as how I haven't been on the site very long and how I was arriving at the meet... a la carte, so to speak.
But everyone was really nice and down-to-earth. We went to a skating rink (which I didn't even know were still around) with the old-ass-style skates and I did a few laps and didn't fall once. There were some close calls but I would just flail my arms wildly until I regained my balance. One kid ate shit right in front of me causing me to almost follow suit, but I held, but I was too good for that.
In the end, I was hurting in places I didn't know someone could hurt, but it was fun.
We made our way to a bar called KY's (like the jelly) and drank a few, played some pool. I got reminded of how good a pool player I'm really not.
I'm glad I came.
To top it off, I found an El Pollo Loco nearby. Kickass!
