Hands up if you are/have been a victim of bullying.

All throughout high school I was bullied for being skinny. My parents are both very slim and I inherited that gene double whammy. The bullying and death threats got so bad that I stopped going to school and missed my exams. I left school at fifteen. The bullying hasn't stopped, but it's more subtle and...

Does anyone here suffer from a mental illness, or is someone close to you suffering with a mental illness? I myself have bipolar disorder and I've been struggling badly with anger. I forgot to take my meds yesterday and a series of events at work today caused me to snap. I went out into a backstreet, screamed at the top of my lungs and proceeded...

I've known a few people who would now be categorized as bi-polar and my son's mother was/is. It most often seemed to me as an observer that the peak and valley cycle was always going on but they become greater as they built over weeks, usually culminating in a major episode. My ex did not/does not take meds, which I support, and instead altered her lifestyle to try and balance her own chemistry, with quite some success. She is also a Chiropractor and a Yogi and very in touch with her physical self. She has found that if she does not practice her yoga or participate in some sort of rigorous physical activity daily that she is far more likely to experience the broader swings in the peaks and valleys syndrome and I concur. Diet makes a difference, oddly it seems that having a few glasses of wine in the evenings helps too.

Beyond that I haven't a clue. Are you able to sense your own shifts? Have you been able to recognize potential triggers? I'm curious.

Best wishes and I hope you find some useful tools and methods to manage yours.

I have a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder.

I think it's awesome that you're talking openly about your BP, there's so much stigma around mental health and talking about it helps fight that smile

As for my experiences, I've lost it quite a few times. In my last job I Broke down crying coz I did something wrong. It was shortly after that that it was decided it might be better if I left blush I still have my moments but am doing a lot better now. I'm doing DBT and it's really helping with controlling my moods smile

love I would Love to see a "Set" from you! you are very pretty and your body is miao!!lovemiao!!kiss
bepps:
Depends on what you mean. If you mean can you get a set bought, well that's a really complicated thing, but I certainly think you're attractive enough and I certainly hope so as your profile says you're from Australia and SG needs more Aussie SGs.

As to whether if they'll buy one of your sets, that depends on a lot of factors, most prominent is if the set is really good. If it's shot very well, edited properly, and shows you off really well then yea. It's a steep ladder to climb though as SG does get quite a few really well shot sets that they can't buy.

If you mean would you fit in with the community of SGs, well that is a very different question. It depends on your personality. If you're a strong independent thinker and don't get all hot-headed when someone disagrees with you, it's quite likely. Those two qualities are usually contrasting though and hard to find.

I can say one thing though, I'd love to see a motorcycle themed set. They are very few here on sg. I think there's like two. You seem pretty well equipped to make one. Plus you're hot. biggrin
