I had a job interview today with an agency that would hire me - with a 25% pay cut. I had spoken to them already a couple of weeks ago, but they declined because of my salary demands. Yesterday they called again and asked me to come in to discuss the whole thing. I was surprised they'd even get in touch with me again and figured they had hired somebody else in the meantime. I have to decide by tomorrow, but I think I will decline. I should get by with compensation pay and the occasional freelance job. 25% less cash is a lot. Besides, I hate penny pinchers. They obviously want to take advantage of the current economic situation and give the job to some poor schmuck who's desperate enough to take it.
I think mentioned before that I'm spending a lot of time with my dad. It's just great, I've always been fairly close with my parents, but I can't remember ever spending hours sitting in a caf and just chatting. When I was a kid, he was busy working and now that he's retired I never really had the time to spend much time with him. In that sense, it's actually not that bad that I lost my job...

Glad you decided to turn that job down, I agree with you..they are taking advantage. And I still can't find a job, btw.
Awww, I wish I had that kinda of relationship with my Dad. I'm happy you are having such a good time with each other.
