Had a realy fabulous 1st of August yesterday. First, I went swimming at my dad's rowing club, then I went to my parent's for dinner and watched some of the fireworks from their terrace. After that I went to a pool party. Ran into some people there I haven't seen in a long time, which is always nice. I also ran into my ex. She was complaining a lot, in particular about the fact that she's a single mom with two kids and the father of her children who's not really making an effort. It's really strange how our lives have developed into completely different directions. When we were together, she was the one who wanted to keep things casual and had not plans to start a family. I was ready at the time, but now I'm the one who enjoys his freedom. And I'm really glad the way things turned out. Working in advertising takes a real toll on your social life, let alone on a family. If I ever want to start a family, I'd definitely have to switch careers.
