Question: I have a "friend" on Facebook. I have never met her in person, but she sent me a friend request after discussing a topic in the forum on another social network. That was about six months ago. Last week, I received an e-mail from her with the message: "Hi, I need accomodation in Zurich from August 1-3. Can you help me out?". I sent her list with some hotels. Haven't heard from her since. Was she looking for a freeride/mealticket? I hate it when people don't clearly state what they want from me. If I want to crash at somebody's house, I say so. If I need recommendations for a hotel, I say so too. Besides, there's no way I let somebody sleep at my place I don't know/haven't met - unless it's Megan Fox or Eva Mendes... From now on I only connect to people I've met in person or at least corresponded long enough to know that he/she is not some whacko.
I'm seriously tempted to take on a border collie puppy. He's so cute! The problem is, what to do with it during the day? In my current agency it wouldn't be a problem, but I have no idea where my next job will be and if they're just as lenient. Then there's also the problem of vacations, business trips and what not. I would never bring my dog to a shelter/camp, even if it's just for a few days and my parents are getting a bit old for looking after a such a lively dog on a fulltime basis. Will see.
