Guess there's no way to NOT mention Michael Jackson's tragic death today. It's weird, some of my earliest childhood memories are Elvis' passing away in 1977 and John Lennon's murder in 1980. The great thing about music is that it becomes the soundtrack of our lives. I wasn't a huge MJ fan, but I was addicted to MTV as a kid (still am, actually, lol) and Michael's brilliant videos were always on. His movie-like plots and over the top productions were truly ground breaking. In addition, "Thriller" was one of the first albums I played to with my drum instructor. So for the past 30 years, Jacko's music has been part of my life. He was a brilliant performer with a troubled soul. I'm sure he went to place that is closer to his liking and ideals. R.I.P. Michael Jackson!

I know that Canada and Switzerland have an agreement that citizens aged roughly 19-30 or 35 can spend up to 18 months living in each others country while holding down a job. I had been checking out mostly western cities since I understand there is a greater French population and that would be the language I'm most comfortable with but small apartments to rent just seem so out of hand! And the few I've come across that are cheap are men only lol.
I'll still keeping up the search though. It's the country I'd love to visit most
