Okay, so Cathee wound up getting kicked out of her house by her parents. Well, technically she wasn't actually told that she had to leave, but her parents drafted this letter of sorts, requiring many things of her if she was to stay in the house. Most of the things listed were not something that she was able to accomplish (like paying $400 a month for a 10x20 room, if that), so she was forced to leave.

This came after quite a few argumentative bouts that she had been having with her father lately. Neither of them could really put up with it anymore, and her father (and mother, supposedly) decided that she needed to do certain things or leave.

Cathee asked whether the money was negotiable, since she doesn't make the kind of money to afford that, and was told instead that she was lucky they didn't ask for more. Without being able to compromise, it forced her to leave.

Fortunately my mother has allowed Cathee to come live with us (in my room) for however long it takes her to find something else. We have been planning on moving out together, and this really may turn out to be something that speeds up that process.

Our original plan was to leave by the end of summer, but we are now hoping to be able to get an apartment in the next couple of months. Sure, loans may have to be taken out, but we need to do this soon.
