Gah-
Once again my return to SG is hailed. Okay, so maybe it was not really hailed, but I can pretend that I am important, can I not? Thank you.
I am thinking about being more active on here by posting on message boards and commenting on girls' sets; things like that. Maybe I can get my name around here on SG and sometime down the road get a job as a systems administrator or editor, you know? That would rock.
I guess I have not updated here since I started working at Disneyland, so maybe I will talk about that a bit:
So.. I work at Disneyland. I hired first into a restaurant, The Riverbelle Terrace, but have since moved to doing guest control for Fantasmic! during the summer. Disney is pretty strict about everything, really. My aspiration to having a lip ring has been squelched for the time being.
I have been working at Disneyland for five months as of today, and I could not be happier. They pay very well and the people I work with are awesome. Everyone seems to love their job there.
After the summer I will be applying for lead status at Fantasmic! If accepted, I would be in charge of the foods guest control segment of Fantasmic!, and I would have my own cast members to work with on a regular basis. This is basically a supervisor position, and as such pays quite a bit more (double, as it turns out). This is very appealing to me, and my current lead has said that he would support my application. He wants me to be lead, he says.
I have no plans of leaving Disneyland, as this is not some "temp" job that I just picked up on a whim. I really do like what I do, and hope that I never have to leave Disney. They provide great benefits the longer you have been there, plus the work environment just kicks ass.
I haven't been brainwashed, I swear.
I got to meet Michael Eisner (CEO/Disneyland) last week. I don't really like the guy, you know, but it is kind of like meeting the President (whom I also hate). It is not really about the "person" that you are meeting, but more about the status of the person you are meeting. Make sense?
Yes, I can get you in to Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure for free if you want.
