Anyway, the guy came over & looked at it today, test-drove it. He loves it. Who wouldn't? I'm pretty sure we'll sell it to him. He's somewhat mature, owns a house, is a couple years older than us & doesn't want to use it as a drag car.
I have mixed feelings. We bought the car for $12,000 on eBay. We didn't get burned exactly, but if we'd seen it in person we wouldn't have paid that much. So we still owe on it, and the payment's $250 a month. And we have a lot of other things we want to use that money on.
But it's such a rare gorgeous sexy car, my dream car. It's slow, but it LOOKS badass, and I've ALWAYS wanted a black car with a red interior. If we won the lottery, I would totally keep it and treat it like a queen.
I probably won't drive it again before we let her go. I haven't driven it in over a year because I've been scared to drive it alone. (I"ve broken down in it twice. Once it ran out of gas--we found out then the prev. owner had put in the wrong size fuel filter AND the gas gauge was broken--it pretty much stays on half-full. The other time it was at NIGHT out in the country & the left rear wheel flew off. Along with the tire. Not fun. The prev. owner had put new tires on, & the retards hadn't tightened the lugnuts enough. I was very fortunate not to wreck.)
But even though she's given us trouble, I still love her. Bye bye baby.
