Hello there SG Land!! It's been sooo long!!
I just typed a whole heap of stuff, then it all poofed. Damn it.. here I go again!
After my last update things got very hectic for me. I was super stressed out and trying to save as much money as possible to get back to Australia. Well, I did it!! I'm back!!! I've been here for about a month now, and there's SO much happening!!!
First things first, Marty's parents bought an investment property to rent out to us!!! WE HAVE A HOUSE!!!! I cant wait!!!!!!!! We will be able to move in after the current tenant leaves, and he has till December first, so anytime between now and then we will be moving in! I can't wait to see Mr. Wez explore and play on the stairs (its two story). I'm also pretty excited about doing a little gardening! There's very limited space but I'll have some room along the fence to do a couple of veggies, and I can put some more in big pots and tubs if need be. There's also plenty of room under some existing trees to do a flowerbed! SOOO EXCITING!! OUR OWN HOUSE!!!!
I should be starting my very first Aussie Job next week!! WOOO!!! I'm going to be making Ice Cream!!! Well, sorta... Scoop the ice cream into cones, dip it in chocolate, then package it. Simple enough! I went in for training for it last week and its was actually rather fun... although the collage of George Clooney photos on the wall was really creepy for some reason... Oh well, at least I got to take home all the ice cream I made!! A whole grocery bag full! w00t!!
This weekend Marty took me on a small road trip to a town called Echuca. It's on the Murray River, and the river is actually the border between Victoria and New South Wales. It was the cutest little town ever!! I loved it to much!! He tried to keep the whole trip a secret from me, but due to delays (renovations at the B&B) he caved in and told me about his secret!
We stayed in a heritage listed B&B called the Steam Packet Inn. Its over 140 years old and full of furniture from the 1800's. It was SO AWESOME!!!!!!
This is the exterior of the Steam Packet Inn.
and here's one of me lounging on the bed.
I don't want to put all of the photos we took, but for a few that are different from my blog check out Marty's!
I made friends with most of the animals found around the historic port area. I loves aminuls!
Horsies YAY!!!! One of them even gave me a cuddle! Awwww!
And a one legged birdie! He was so cute!!!
I was VERY VERY happy and excited that I got to see the horses and birdie!!
After we walked around town and went to the Penny Arcade and had lunch we got an "Antique Photo" taken, I love these things so much hehe
We took a ride on a Steamboat, which was really aweome. You'd think since I'm from New Orleans I'd have rode them heps, but this was actually my first time!
Then we went for a nice dinner, I had prawns YUMMY!!!! It started to rain and we watched the lightning make the sky glow pink. It was so pretty! We had a wharfside table right along the window overlooking the river. The food there was SOOOO GOOD!!!
After we ate we walked back to our B&B in the rain. I didn't mind it though...
We stopped along the gravel road at this street light..
Where I looked up and exclaimed "OW! A raindrop landed in my eye!!!" and then looked down and...
Marty propsed to me!!
Yes, folks that right, Marty and I are now ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!! It's the moment you've all been waiting for, all been bugging us for 2 years, and now it's REALLY happening! :
I'm the happiest girl in the entire universe right now!!!!!!!! There are no words that can ever express the amount of joy and happiness that I feel right now!!!!! We overcame time and distance, masses of land and endless oceans. Now they will never separate us again.
I LOVE YOU MARTY!!!
